Instrumentation: Solo Marimba (5.0 octave), Vibraphone, Marimba (4.0 octave or 5.0 octave), Percussion (snare drum, four toms, shared marimba), Bass Drum

"Perseverance" is about unwavering dedication to finish a task or goal while pushing through failures and struggles. The soloist portrays our main character, constantly pushing ahead. The rest of the ensemble paves the way for the soloist, helping push them forward, but sometimes holding them back. Eventually, the soloist breaks free from the ensemble, leaving us to wonder if they ever completed their task.

"Perseverance" is dedicated to the members of the 2025 Solo of the Month consortium.
