Separation and Convergence - Piano
Piano Solo
Duration: 4+ minutes
Difficulty: Medium
I wrote this piece to experiment with writing minimalist music. I have always been a fan of Steve Reich and Philip Glass, so I wanted to mimic my idols, while still creating my own sound. This version is the original for solo piano, but there is also a version for 4.0 and 5.0 octave marimba. While listening, the music should slowly morph and create a trance-like atmosphere. There shouldn’t be any focus on harmonic or rhythmic material.
